Manaveeka Foundation

Our foundation is located in Village Gairatpurbass, which is near Tikli in the Gurgaon area. You have to go past the main city and head toward the hills to find us. We’re at Tekram’s place, which is well-known in the village. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s worth it because it’s much more peaceful than the center of Gurgaon. The roads can be a bit bumpy, and you might see a few goats or cows along the way. Our office is a simple room with some basic furniture and a few windows that look out onto the village roads. At Manaveeka Foundation, we don’t spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff. We just have a desk, some chairs, and our files. Most days involve meeting with people from the nearby areas and trying to sort out whatever needs doing. It’s a very hands-on way of working. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the area well. Tekram is usually around to help people find their way. The weather out here feels a bit more extreme since we’re closer to the open land, but we have a good fan for the heat. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us by name now. It’s just a quiet, steady place where we do our bit for the community without any fuss.
