Over in the Industrial Area Bawal, near Jalyan Vaas Village, is where Leakless Gasket India Pvt. Ltd. is set up. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s not exactly pretty, but it’s where the real work happens. You can hear the sounds of machinery and trucks all day long. We make gaskets here. It’s a dusty job and the shop floor gets hot in the summer, but we’re used to it. The proximity to Jalyan Vaas Village means some of us live close by and walk or ride a bike to work. Our building is just a standard industrial unit with high ceilings and heavy doors. We aren't here to impress anyone with a lobby or a receptionist. We’re here to produce parts that people need for their machines. The floors are usually marked with oil or scuffs from moving heavy crates around. We take our work seriously because if a gasket fails, it’s a big problem for someone else. We spend our shifts checking sizes and making sure the material is right. It’s repetitive but important. When the whistle blows or the shift ends, we wash up and head out into the Bawal air. It’s a tough environment but it feels good to make something tangible. We’ve been part of this industrial landscape for a while now and just keep at it day after day.
