Laxmi Engg. Works

Our place, Laxmi Engg. Works, is located in the Kadipur Industrial Area, specifically at G.N.N 8. We are right near the Rajasthan Transport Company, which makes it easy to explain our location to people when they get lost. This area is always full of trucks and big lorries moving back and forth, so it’s a very active and loud environment. We focus on heavy engineering tasks, the kind of work that leaves you tired and covered in grease at the end of the day. Our shop is basically a large shed with a high ceiling and plenty of heavy-duty equipment bolted to the floor. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that, just some big industrial fans that move the hot air around. We spend a lot of time working with heavy metal parts and thick steel plates. I’ve been working in this industry since I was a young man, and I’ve seen how things have changed over the years in Kadipur. We don't use much technology here, mostly just the old reliable machines that have never let us down. There’s always a layer of dust on the windows, but nobody really cares about that. We are more concerned with getting the dimensions right on the parts we make for our customers. It’s a tough way to make a living, but there’s a certain pride in seeing a finished product loaded onto a truck. We just take it one day at a time.
