Himalayan Dowry

Our office is number 72 in the basement of the Gangaram Old Building. We are right on M.G. Road, very close to the metro station. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler, but we don't get any natural light. We have a lot of items packed into the space, mostly things people look for when they are getting stuff ready for a wedding or a big event. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the shelves and boxes. M.G. Road is always loud with cars and the metro overhead, so we can hear the rumble every now and then. We spend a lot of time unpacking new shipments and checking the fabrics or the items we receive at Himalayan Dowry. The building itself is quite old, so the walls have some character, and the stairs down to the basement are a bit steep. People find us because we are so central, but you have to look for the sign since we are below ground level. It’s not a fancy boutique. We have fluorescent lights and plain racks. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the inventory moving around. We just sit at the back desk and wait for people to come down from the street. It’s a steady pace, and we've gotten used to the underground feel of the place. It's where we keep everything organized and ready for whoever walks in.
