Gomez Charitable Foundation

Our space is at B 75 in Vipul World, which is right in Sector 48. If you know the area, you know it's a mix of homes and little offices. We are up on the first floor. The Gomez Charitable Foundation isn't some massive corporation. It’s really just a few people trying to make things a little better for the neighbors and the community around here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just organizing the supplies we keep in the back room. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough time in the day to get through everything, but we do what we can. The office is usually cluttered with papers because we don't have a big filing system. It’s more about doing the work than looking perfect. People from around Sector 48 stop by sometimes just to say hello or ask about what we are doing this week. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall or anything. We just see a problem and try to fix it. Being in Gurgaon, you see all sorts of things, and it makes you want to contribute. The first floor at Vipul World is a handy spot because it's easy for people to find us. We keep the kettle going and just get on with it. It’s a simple way to spend the day, really. Nothing too complicated, just plain old work.
