G. K. Jain Auto Pvt. Ltd. is located out in Sector-8 of IMT Manesar. If you know the area, it's Plot No.-586. It’s a big industrial hub, so there are factories everywhere you look. We fit right in. Our day starts with the shift change, and there’s a lot of coming and going. We work on auto components mostly. The floor is usually busy with people moving parts around. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it needs to be done right. We have some heavy machinery that makes a lot of noise, so you have to shout a bit to be heard. The office is just a small room off to the side with some old desks and files piled up. We don’t spend much time in there. We’d rather be out where the actual work is happening. Manesar is a long commute for some of us, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. The canteen nearby is where we catch up during the afternoon break. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just make the parts and send them off. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves on the fly. It keeps things interesting. The weather gets really hot in the summer, and the shed can get a bit stuffy. We just drink plenty of water and keep moving through the daily production schedule.
