My name is on the board along with the brass art and screen painting work we do. It’s a busy street, so there is always noise from the traffic and the metro passing by overhead. Inside the shop, things are usually a bit messy with paint tins and pieces of brass lying around. We’ve been doing screen painting for quite some time now. It's a job that requires a lot of patience, especially when the screens get clogged or the ink isn't drying fast enough because of the humidity. The brass work is a different story altogether. It takes a bit of muscle and the right touch to get it finished. We don't have some high-end corporate setup. It is just a local shop where we work hard every day. Sometimes we have a lot of orders and the floor is covered in metal shavings. Other days it's quieter and we catch up on cleaning the screens or organizing the tools. We've stayed near pillar 62 for a long time because everyone knows the landmark. It makes it easy for people to drop off their items and pick them up later.
