Ek Sahara Foundation

You can find us on the ground floor at E-14 in BPTP Astaire Garden. Sector 70 is a busy area, and we’re right there in the thick of it. We call ourselves Ek Sahara because everyone needs a bit of a hand sometimes. The office is pretty small and straightforward. We’ve got a couple of old desks and some plastic chairs for when people come to visit. It’s not a place with a fancy lobby or any of those corporate bells and whistles. We spend most of our time just talking to folks who live nearby and seeing what kind of support they need. Some days we are out and about more than we are in the office. It’s a bit of a scramble to keep the paperwork in order, and sometimes we lose track of who was supposed to do what. But we always manage to figure it out in the end. We’re just regular people from the neighborhood who wanted to do something useful. We don't have a big team or a lot of money. Most of our work is done through just being there and listening. It’s a simple setup and we like it that way. We aren't looking to grow into some huge organization. We just want to be a reliable spot for the people in our part of town. It is honest, everyday work for whoever needs a little help.
