Donaldson (India) Filter Systems Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Village Naharpur Kasan, near the Nakhrola post office. It’s a bit out of the way compared to the city center, which means the air is a little different out here. We have a fairly large setup because filters take up space and the machinery to make them is big. The staff mostly comes from the nearby villages and we’ve become a part of the local landscape over the years. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you’re coming from the main highway, but we are used to it. The factory floor is where most of the action happens. It’s a mix of machines humming and people moving boxes around. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations in the office; it’s mostly just functional furniture and some old calendars on the walls. We have lunch together in a small break area and talk about everything except work sometimes. It’s a long day, especially when the orders are high, but we get through it. We don't have any big speeches about our goals or anything. We just make sure the filters are made right and shipped out on time. It’s a practical environment where everyone knows what they have to do when they clock in and start their shift.
