Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd.

We are up on the 9th floor of the DLF Building in Cyber City. It’s a busy area, lots of people rushing around Gurugram every morning. Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this tower for a good bit now. It’s one of those glass buildings where you spend a lot of time waiting for elevators. Inside, it’s mostly desks, computers, and people on calls. We deal with electrical stuff, trying to make sure things run right. It’s a lot of technical work, sitting in front of screens and looking at numbers or diagrams. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold, and we all complain about it while grabbing coffee from the breakroom. Being in Phase II means there’s always traffic outside, especially when it rains. We see the same faces every day, from the security at the gate to the folks in the next office. It’s not a flashy lifestyle despite the fancy address. We just come in, do what we have to do, and head home when the sun goes down. There’s always some project going on or some deadline we’re trying to hit. We don't make a big fuss about things. We just try to keep the lights on, literally and figuratively. It gets pretty loud during lunch hours when everyone hits the food court downstairs. It's just a regular workplace where we try to get the details right. Most of us have been here for years.
