Our place is over at No. 372/31 in Laxman Vihar Phase-2. It’s more of a residential-turned-commercial area, so it’s got a bit of a different feel than a big industrial park. Design Space Systems is basically a small team of us working out of this space. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of computers, desks, and some testing equipment squeezed in. We don’t have a big corporate sign or anything, just the address on the door. Most days, it’s just the sound of keyboards clicking and the occasional argument about a design layout. We aren’t the type to wear suits or have formal meetings. We usually just huddle around someone’s monitor to figure things out. Laxman Vihar is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always something happening on the street outside—kids playing or someone moving furniture. We like being here because it feels like a real community. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power fluctuates, which can be annoying when we’re in the middle of a project, but we’ve learned to save our work often. We eat our lunch together most days, usually getting something from the local shops nearby. We focus on getting the drawings and systems right for the people we work with. It’s not a high-pressure corporate office, just a group of people doing their jobs and trying to keep everything organized in a small space.
