Columbia Asia Hospital

If you head toward the Gol Chakkar in Palam Vihar, you’ll find us in Block F of Sector 23A. Columbia Asia Hospital is a big building, but inside, it’s just a lot of people working hard. Hospitals are strange places; they never really sleep. There is always a light on somewhere and someone walking down a hallway. We have doctors, nurses, and cleaning staff moving around at all hours. It’s not like the movies. It’s mostly a lot of quiet talking, the sound of carts being pushed, and the smell of antiseptic. We try to keep things as organized as possible because people come here when they aren't feeling their best. It can be stressful, especially when the waiting room is full. But the staff here, we just take it one patient at a time. We don't use fancy medical jargon when we talk to families. We just try to explain what’s happening in plain English. The canteen is where we all go to grab a quick tea when there’s a break. We’ve been part of the Palam Vihar community for quite some time now. We see the same faces from the neighborhood. It’s a big responsibility, looking after people, and we don't take it lightly, but we don't boast about it either. We’re just here to do our jobs and help the folks who walk through our doors every day and night.
