Chalk Studio Design is based at E8/18 on Arjun Marg in DLF Phase 1. This part of Gurgaon has a lot of character because it’s one of the older, established areas. Our studio is a straightforward space where we handle all our design work. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or a high-tech lobby; we just have our drafting tables, computers, and a lot of samples lying around. Arjun Marg is a well-known spot, so it’s easy for people to find us, though parking can be a bit of a challenge in the afternoons. We like the vibe of Phase 1 because it feels more grounded than the new high-rise sectors. The office has big windows that let in some natural light, which is good for our work. We aren't a massive design firm with hundreds of employees. We are just a small team of designers who actually enjoy drawing and planning things out. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. If someone needs a design, we sit down and work on it until it looks right. There’s usually some music playing in the background and a few half-finished cups of coffee on the desks. We stay busy with various projects, and we don't really do much in the way of self-promotion. Most of our work comes from people who just know where we are. It’s a decent way to work, staying small and focusing on the actual design instead of the business side of things.
