If you head down to the Sikanderpur Wielding Market on the Sector Road, you’ll find us there. It’s a loud place with a lot of sparks flying and the sound of hammers hitting metal. We deal with motors and a lot of welding work that comes through the door. Most of the time we are under a hood or looking at an engine that has seen better days. The floor is stained with grease and oil but that’s expected in a workshop like this. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with tea and coffee. People usually just stand around and watch us work or go grab a snack from the vendor down the street. It’s a gritty environment but we like it that way. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and we know almost everyone in the market. Every day is a bit different depending on what kind of vehicle shows up. Sometimes it’s an easy fix and other times we have to spend hours trying to figure out why something won't start. It can be frustrating but that is just the nature of the business. We just keep our heads down and keep working until the job is done. The market is always busy and there’s a lot of shouting back and forth between the shops. It’s just how life is here on the Sector Road. It is hard work but it is what we do.
