Avichal Heritage Foundation

We started Avichal Heritage Foundation because we felt it was the right time to get something going here in Gurugram. Our spot is at World Spa East, over in Sector 30/41. It’s a busy area, but the office at A5/501 stays quiet enough for us to get work done. We handle things day by day. Most of us have lived around Haryana for a long time, so we know the streets and the people. It’s not a big fancy operation. We just sit down, look at what needs doing, and try to make ourselves useful. Some days are slow, others have us running around quite a bit. That's just how it goes with a foundation like ours. People ask what we do, and honestly, we just focus on heritage stuff and keeping things together. We aren't trying to change the whole world overnight or anything like that. It is just us working from this flat in Gurgaon, keeping our heads down. If you are walking around Sector 30, you might pass by the building. It’s a decent place to be based. We’ve been here for a bit now and the routine has set in. There is always some paperwork or a project that needs a bit of attention. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who care about the local history and keeping things moving. We drink a lot of tea and talk through the plans. That's about it really.
