We are way up on the 20th floor in Tower A of the DLF building in Cyber City. Even with the long address name like Tower Ã�‚�€� A, it’s just a standard office tower. It’s a lot of glass and elevators to get up here. Even though it looks like a big corporate spot, we are just the team that handles the India side of things for Akzo Nobel. The view from the windows is pretty good, you can see all the traffic down below. We spend a lot of time in meetings or on the phone talking about paint and coatings. It’s a lot of spreadsheets and emails. The office is usually pretty quiet, except for when the coffee machine is running. We get people coming in from all over. Cyber City is always busy, so getting to work can be a bit of a crawl in the morning. We have our desks set up in rows and we try to keep things moving. It’s a bit different from a shop on the street, but the work is still the same basic stuff at the end of the day. We deal with a lot of different suppliers and customers. Sometimes the elevators take forever, which is a bit of a joke among the staff. We just try to get our work done and go home like everyone else. It's a modern building, but we’re just regular people trying to manage the business. We keep some paint samples on the shelves to remind us what we are selling.
