Aahanaa Heritage Foundation

We are based out of A-1003 in The View Apartment. This is over in Sector-37D, which is part of Ramprastha City in Gurgaon. Being on the tenth floor gives us a decent view, but we are usually too busy to look out the window. This foundation is a small project we started because we wanted to keep some of our local heritage alive. It’s mostly just a few of us working out of a spare room. It’s a bit cramped with all the old photos and documents we have collected over the years. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, and we have to wait a while, but that’s just life in a big complex. We aren’t experts with fancy degrees or anything. We just really care about the history of this part of Haryana. Our days are spent sorting through old stories and trying to make sense of things. It’s quiet work, and we like it that way. Neighbors sometimes pop in to see what all the fuss is about. We try to keep things grounded and avoid any of that corporate talk. We just want to make sure these traditions don't disappear. It’s not a polished operation, and we often have stacks of books all over the floor. We just keep plugging away at it because it feels like the right thing to do for our community here in Gurgaon.
