Xplorer

Sundeep Dwivedi runs Xplorer out of a small place in Bhaniyawala village. It is in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand. It is a very different vibe from the big cities. The air is cleaner and things move at a much slower pace. Our office is just a simple room near the post office. We don't have a fancy lobby or a bunch of staff in suits. It is mostly a one or two-person operation. We help people with travel plans and exploring the local areas around the mountains. Our desk is covered in maps and old brochures. There is always a pot of tea on the go because it can get quite chilly here in the winter months. We don't have a big advertising budget. People find us because they are passing through the village or someone in town mentioned Sundeep’s name. It is a very personal way of doing business. We talk to everyone who comes through the door. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It is not a high-pressure environment. We just want to help people see the beauty of this region. We have been here for a long time and we know every road and path in the area. It is a simple, honest way to make a living. We enjoy meeting new people.
