W Pratiksha Hospital

This part of Gurgaon, specifically around Sushant Lok II, has changed so much since the hospital opened. We are located right on the Golf Course Extension Road in Sector 56. It’s a long name for a long road that never seems to sleep. Every morning the staff arrives, some by bus and some on scooters, and the day just takes off from there. The building itself is quite tall and looks out over the expanding city. We spend our hours checking monitors, filling out paperwork, and talking to patients who come from all over the NCR. It’s a serious environment but we try to have a few laughs in the break room to keep our spirits up. The elevators are always busy, so many of us just take the stairs if it's only a floor or two. You get used to the smell of antiseptic and the sound of the PA system calling out names. It’s a workplace like any other but with more responsibility. The parking lot fills up early and stays that way until late at night. Sometimes when the sun goes down, you can see the lights of the high-rises nearby. It’s a big operation here and everyone has a specific role to play. We aren't trying to be anything other than a functioning hospital for the people living in these sectors. It’s hard work and the days are long, but that’s just how it is. We deal with the paperwork and the patients one at a time.
