We are based at 803 in the Swarn Jayanti Co-Op Group Housing Society Ltd in Gurgaon. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a worldwide shipping company, being inside a housing society, but it works for us. Gurgaon is always full of dust and new buildings going up, so it’s quite a fast-paced environment. We spend most of our time dealing with global logistics, which involves a lot of back-and-forth emails with people in Europe or the US. The office is cozy, maybe a bit too small when we have all our files out on the desks. We have a small kitchen area where we spend way too much time making coffee to stay awake during late shifts. It’s just a group of us here trying to keep track of containers and air freight. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just life in Haryana. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a place where work gets done. Most of us have been here for a long time and we know each other's habits. We handle the paperwork and the headaches that come with international trade so our clients don’t have to. It’s a lot of small details that have to be right, or else everything gets stuck at some border. We just keep plugging away at it day after day without too much fuss.
