Uniflock International Ltd. is out on Behrampur Road in Village Khandsa. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here from the main city, especially during the monsoon when the road gets those big puddles that never seem to go away. The village atmosphere is still there, even with all the industry moving in lately. You see cows walking past the gates and tractors sharing the road with big supply trucks all the time. Our facility is a large space with a lot of activity going on at all hours. We have people coming in from the surrounding villages to work the various shifts. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping an eye on the production lines to make sure nothing breaks down. The air is often thick with the smell of the machines and the local surroundings. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of that. You just walk in and you're right in the middle of the work. We spend a lot of time talking about logistics because getting things in and out of Khandsa can be tricky with the traffic on Behrampur Road. It’s a straightforward operation. We focus on getting the day's quota done and making sure everything is handled properly on the floor. When the sun sets over the fields near the village, the night shift takes over and the whole process starts again. It’s a hard-working place with no room for anything unnecessary.
