Being on the 13th floor gives us a pretty good view of the surrounding area, though we’re usually too busy to look out the window much. It’s a standard apartment that we use for our coaching and consulting work. It doesn’t feel like a cold, sterile office because it has the layout of a home. We’ve got some comfortable chairs and a big table where we sit down with people. The elevators in Ivory Tower can be a bit moody sometimes, so we always tell people to give themselves an extra few minutes to get up here. It’s a professional enough space, but we haven't gone out of our way to make it look like a showroom. There are books everywhere and stacks of notebooks from different sessions. We handle everything ourselves, from answering the door to making sure there’s water for everyone. The industrial estate nearby means there is always some movement in the area, but up on the 13th floor, it stays relatively peaceful. We just take things one day at a time and try to help the people who come through our door. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do here.
