Swbi Architects

At Swbi Architects, we work out of A-80 in Sushant Lok I. It is a residential-feeling area, which is nice because it is not as chaotic as the main commercial blocks. Our office is a place where we spend a lot of time staring at computer screens and large paper drawings spread across the desks. It is usually covered in architectural models and half-finished sketches. We are not the type of place with a pristine, white-walled gallery feel. There are always rolls of blueprints leaning against the walls and mugs of cold coffee sitting near the keyboards. We have a small team of architects who are often debating over some small detail of a plan or checking the latest building codes. Sometimes the printer jams right when we have a big deadline, and everyone has to stop what they are doing to fix it. We like being in Sushant Lok because it is easy for people to find us, and the trees outside make it feel a bit more relaxed than the city center. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps when you are looking at small lines and measurements all day long. We spend our mornings responding to emails, and our afternoons usually involve at least one person heading out to a site to see how things are actually being built. It is a lot of coordination and trying to make sure the drawings match the reality of the ground.
