Sumitomo Mitsui Construction India Ltd is based right here in Sector 4, Gurgaon. If you know this part of Haryana, you know it's always busy. We spend most of our days at the office near 1990, dealing with the heat and the constant noise of the city. It’s a construction life, so there’s always mud on someone’s boots and a lot of paperwork on the desks. We aren't doing anything fancy, just getting the work done. The team is a mix of people who have been here for years and some newer faces. We mostly talk about the projects over tea in the morning before everyone heads out. Gurgaon has changed a lot, and being part of the building side of things means we see it happening first-hand. It’s not always easy with the deadlines and the weather, but we manage. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet is slow, but that’s just how it is in this area. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s a working office. People come in, check the plans, grab their gear, and go. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and the neighbors know us. It’s just us, working on whatever project is next on the list. We don't spend much time on the computer writing about ourselves, usually, we’re too busy looking at blueprints or talking to the guys on the site. There is always a new building going up around here.
