Studio International

Studio International is based out of House No.55 in Sector 31. It is more of a residential-feeling area, which makes the work environment a bit more relaxed than being in a big commercial tower downtown. We have been using this space for a while now, and it is basically filled with samples, sketches, and half-finished projects. It can get a bit cluttered, especially when we are in the middle of a big job and papers are everywhere. The light in the front room is pretty good in the afternoons, which helps when we are looking at specific details on a project. We do not have a big reception area or a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door just lets people in when they knock. Sector 31 is quiet enough that we can actually focus on what we are doing, though the neighbors’ kids can be loud sometimes when they play in the street. We just do our thing here, whether it is designing or planning out the next week. It is a small operation, really. Most of the time it is just a few of us sitting around a big table trying to figure out the next step. We do not put on airs or try to look like some big agency. It is just a house where the work gets done. Sometimes we work late into the night, and the kitchen gets messy with coffee mugs. It is a practical way to run things.
