Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd.

We spend most of our time on the shop floor over here at 38/6, Nh-8, right on the Delhi-Jaipur Road. It’s a busy spot with trucks constantly rolling past outside on the highway. Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd. has been around this area for a while now. We focus on steering parts, mostly. It gets pretty loud inside when the machines are all running at once. My hands are usually a bit greasy by lunch, but that is just how it goes when you are dealing with mechanical systems all day. The office part of the building is okay, but most of the real work happens in the back where the assembly lines are. We have a lot of people coming and going, especially drivers dropping off supplies. The heat on the Delhi-Jaipur Road can get really intense during the summer months, making the metal parts hot to the touch. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just get back to it once things are running again. It isn't a fancy place, just a lot of concrete and steel. We have our routines and we stick to them. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the sounds of the machines by heart now. If a steering column isn't sitting right, someone will notice just by the click it makes. It’s just a regular workplace doing what we know how to do every single day.
