We run Solus Logistics Pvt. Ltd. from a small place at House No-34/A in Vasant Gaon. It’s an older part of New Delhi, and the lanes are a bit tight, but it’s got a lot of character. We like being in the village area because it feels more like a community than a sterile office park. Our space isn't very large, so we have to be organized with where we put all the paperwork. There are usually three or four of us here at any given time, typing away or checking schedules on the wall. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. If you come by, you just walk in and talk to whoever is closest to the door. We handle various logistics jobs across the city and beyond. Sometimes the power goes out in Vasant Gaon, and we have to sit outside for a bit until it comes back on, which gives us a chance to chat with the local shopkeepers. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't bother with corporate slogans or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand, whether it’s a small parcel or a big container. Dealing with the traffic in South Delhi is always a challenge, but we’ve learned the best times to move things. It’s a basic operation, but it keeps us busy and we’ve been here long enough to know the routine inside out.
