Our place at Plot No. 141 in Pace City-I is where we spend most of our daylight hours. The gates open pretty early and the noise of the machinery starts up soon after. We make things here, mostly involving metal and various components that other businesses need. Some of us have been coming to this specific spot in Sector-37 for years now, so the routine is second nature. Inside our building, it is not very fancy or decorated. There is quite a bit of dust sometimes and the big industrial fans stay on all day just to keep the air moving around. We just focus on whatever orders are on the clipboard for that day. Usually, there is a long list of parts that need to be finished and packed by the end of the week. We do not really talk about big goals or anything like that; we just look at the drawings and make sure the sizes are right before the pieces go out to the trucks. Sometimes a machine breaks down and the whole floor gets quiet for a bit while someone tries to fix it with a wrench. It is just a regular, working-class workplace. We have our tea breaks around eleven and then it is straight back to the floor. If you walk past Plot 141, you will see the blue gates and hear the grinding sounds. We are just keeping the production lines moving every day.
