Over here on Sohna Road, things move pretty fast in Gurgaon. We open up the lab early because that’s when most people want to get their blood work done before heading to the office. Our place isn't hard to find, but the traffic can be a pain sometimes during peak hours. Inside, it’s mostly white walls and the sound of the fridge where we keep the samples. We spend a lot of time labeling tubes and checking names on forms. It’s a serious kind of job, so we try to stay focused even when the waiting room gets full on Saturday mornings. The staff has been here for a bit, so we know the routine well. We aren’t doing anything fancy like some of those big hospitals, just the standard tests and checkups people need. Sometimes the printer for the reports acts up, and we have to reset it while someone is waiting, which is a bit embarrassing but we manage. We just keep the needles clean and the records straight. It’s mostly about making sure the data is right and getting it to the doctor on time. Life in Gurgaon is busy, so we just try to be a steady spot on the road where you can get your health checked without too much fuss or extra talk. We have a few benches for people to sit on while they wait, and there is a tea stall just around the corner if the wait gets long.
