Shubham Child Clinic

This clinic in Sector 56 is usually pretty loud because of all the kids. Being at number 196, we are right in the middle of the neighborhood, which makes it easy for parents to walk over. Parents bring their little ones in for everything from high fevers and earaches to scraped knees from playing outside. It’s definitely not a quiet place, but that’s just how it goes when you work with children all day. We’ve got some old toys scattered around the waiting area to try and keep them busy while they wait their turn. Sometimes it works and they stay quiet, but other times it doesn’t help much. Shubham Child Clinic isn’t a massive place, just a few rooms where we see patients and give out the necessary vaccinations. It gets especially packed during the flu season when everyone seems to be getting sick at once. We see babies for their very first checkups and then we see them again when they are starting school. It’s strange seeing how fast they grow up right in front of us. The walls have some faded drawings on them, and the chairs are a bit worn out from all the use over the years. We try to get through the appointments as fast as we can so the parents can get back home. Dealing with a crying baby at three in the afternoon is just a normal Tuesday for us. We just talk to the moms and dads about what’s going on and try to make the kids feel a little less scared.
