Sharma Contracts

Our business is based out of Village Chhapur, near Khubbanpur in the Haridwar district. It’s a different pace of life here compared to the big cities. Sazid Ali is the one who keeps everything moving. He’s the son of the late Shri Mohd Hanif and has stayed in the family trade for a long time now. We work on all sorts of local contracts around the district. It involves a lot of traveling between villages and making sure we have the right people for each job. The roads can be tricky sometimes, especially during the monsoon season when everything turns to mud and transport slows down. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. Our workspace is part of the community here. People know where to find us if they need help with a project. We use what we have and try to do a solid job every time. Sometimes we’re out in the fields or working on a small structure by the road. It’s practical work that requires knowing the local land and how things are built in this part of Uttarakhand. We don’t really use fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just contracting. We show up, we do the work, and we go home. It’s about being reliable and making sure the people in the village can count on us. We’ve been here for a long time and plan on staying. There’s always something that needs fixing or building around Chhapur.
