Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Ltd.

In Gurgaon, we are located at H.N.-793 in Sector-45. This isn't one of those high-rise glass towers you see in Cyber City. It’s a house that we’ve converted into an office for Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Ltd. It feels much more personal this way. We have different rooms for different departments, and the kitchen is where everyone gathers for water or a quick break. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s a bit of a maze of streets to get here, but it’s a good spot. We deal with a lot of the NCR project coordination from this house. There’s always a car or two parked out front, and people are constantly coming in with deliveries or blueprints. We don't go in for big corporate speeches. We just sit around the table and figure out why a shipment is late or how to fix a delay at a site. The air conditioner is always running because Gurgaon gets so hot, and the power sometimes cuts out, so we have a backup generator that makes a lot of noise. It’s all part of the daily life here. We’ve got a small garden in the front that one of the guys looks after, which is a nice change from all the concrete we deal with. It’s a busy, slightly messy, but very productive place where we just get things done without any drama.
