Shah Granites Pvt. Ltd

We have been running Shah Granites Pvt. Ltd out here in Vill Chhichhra for a while now. It is a quiet spot in Gurdaspur, right near Chack Shrif. Mostly, we spend our days looking at stone slabs and making sure the trucks get loaded properly. Punjab weather can be tough on the guys working outside, but we get through it. People come by the yard to see what we have in stock. We do not have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a lot of granite and some basic equipment to move things around. My office is pretty small and usually has dust on the desk because of the cutting. We try to keep things organized, but when three trucks show up at once, it gets a bit messy. The local workers here are good people, they know the stone well. We have seen the village change over the years. Some days are slow, just waiting for orders to come in from the city. Other days, we are running around trying to fix a machine that stopped working. It is not a glamorous life, but it is honest work. We know our neighbors and they know where to find us if they need a piece of stone for a kitchen or a floor. That is pretty much how we spend our weeks here in the district.
