Our setup here is over at Plot Number 84. It’s a fairly straightforward location without much fuss or decoration. If you drive down the main road in the industrial area, you’ll see the big gate for 84 easily enough, though the sign is a bit faded from the sun. Most of our day involves managing the storage space and making sure everything is in its right place for the next shipment. It’s a large plot, so there is plenty of room for trucks and delivery vans to come in and out, which is good because things can get pretty crowded and chaotic during the peak hours in the morning. We spend a lot of time on our feet, walking between the different storage areas and the front desk where the paperwork happens. The office part is just a basic room with a few chairs, a couple of desks, and some files stacked up in the corner. It’s not a place built for show; it’s built for getting things done efficiently. We have a small crew here, and everyone pretty much knows what they need to do without being told. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or so in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the concrete steps until it comes back on. You get to know the neighbors at Plot 83 and Plot 85 pretty well over time. We share the same dusty road and the same local lunch spot down the street. It’s just a regular day.
