Hindustan Power Instruments Private Limited is located at No. 578 in Udyog Vihar Phase-V. This is a very industrial part of town, so we are surrounded by other factories and workshops. We focus on power instruments, which means there are always wires, circuit boards, and testing meters all over our desks. It’s a bit of a technical mess most of the time. We aren't into making the place look like a modern office. It’s more of a functional space where we can sit and work on the components. The morning usually starts with a cup of tea and a look at the schedule for what needs to be assembled or checked. There is a lot of concentration involved when you are dealing with electrical parts. We have been in Phase-V for quite some years now and we like the routine of the industrial estate. The sounds of trucks and machinery from the neighbors are just part of the background. We have a small group of people who really understand how these instruments are supposed to function. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that. We just do our testing, pack the instruments into boxes, and send them out. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, even if the work gets a little tedious when we have a huge batch of small parts to go through one by one. It’s just us here working.
