You’ll find Bharat Industrial Corporation way out at the 37th Km Stone on the Delhi Jaipur Highway. We are located near Ayushman Hospital, which is a good landmark because sometimes people miss the turn-off when they are driving fast. Being out on the highway means we get a lot of dust and the sound of trucks zooming past at all hours. Our building is a large, practical space where we store industrial equipment and handle the heavy lifting that comes with this kind of work. It’s not a very pretty area, but it’s where we need to be for the transport links. Most of our days are spent loading and unloading stuff or talking to drivers who are stopping by on their way to or from the city. We have a small office area that is mostly just for filing papers and taking phone calls, but we’re usually out in the warehouse. The air smells like diesel and metal, which you get used to after a few days. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name on the gate so people know they’ve hit the right spot. It’s hard work and it’s often very hot, but we’ve got a good routine going. We keep a big container of cold water near the door for anyone who stops by. It’s a bit isolated out here, but it works for what we do.
