If you find yourself at Plot No. 20 in Sector-18, you’ll see us at Ranbaxy Research Labs. We are located in the R & D-2 Building within the Udyog Vihar Industrial Area. It’s a busy part of the world, with people constantly rushing around and cars honking outside. The building itself is one of those typical industrial structures that’s been here for a while. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze with all the corridors and different rooms. We spend most of our time under fluorescent lights, looking at screens or paperwork. It’s not the kind of place that has fancy art on the walls. We have calendars and some old posters. The break room is small, and the microwave usually has a bit of a smell from someone’s lunch. Most of us have been working here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise from the street anymore. We talk about the commute mostly, since getting into Udyog Vihar can be a real struggle some days. We’re just a bunch of people trying to get our research work done correctly. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just a lot of practical steps we follow every day. Sometimes the elevator gets stuck between floors, so most of us just take the stairs to the second floor anyway. It’s just life at Plot No. 20, nothing more and nothing less than that.
