Our office is right on M G Road at number 10. It’s a central spot, which is handy for getting around, though parking can be a real headache some mornings. We handle a lot of textile and fabric stuff here at Ramtex Overseas. Most of the day is spent on the phone or checking samples that come in from the mills. We have stacks of fabric books and color swatches sitting on the tables. It’s not a very quiet place because there’s always someone coming in or a delivery being loaded out front. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the trade pretty well. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or big signs. We just focus on making sure the orders are right before they go out. Dealing with overseas stuff means we sometimes have to be here at odd hours to talk to people in different time zones. It’s just part of the job. The staff here has been together for a while, so we work like a small family. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the paperwork. It’s a lot of manual checking and counting, which is tiring but necessary. We just want to get the day's work done properly and go home.
