Rajashree Design's

Rajashree Design's is over at Plot Number 99 in Sarhaul, Sector 18. This part of the city is quite industrial, so our surroundings are mostly other workshops and commercial buildings. Our own space is very much a reflection of that. It’s a large room with high ceilings and a lot of different workstations set up. We have some old drafting tables that have seen better days, and then some newer computers for the digital side of our designs. There is always a lot of paper around—blueprints, sketches, and notes pinned to every available surface. It’s not a place that’s kept perfectly tidy. We are usually in the middle of three or four different things at once. The noise from the nearby factories and trucks on the road is something we’ve just grown used to over time. We have a small staff of designers and technicians who have been with us for a while. We don't have a corporate hierarchy or anything like that. We just talk across the room when we need to figure something out. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy plot where we can get our work done. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking over drawings to make sure we haven't missed any small details. It’s a very hands-on way of working that suits the atmosphere of Sarhaul perfectly.
