We are over in D-18, Jharsa, Sec 39. This part of Gurgaon has changed so much since we first set up here. It used to be much quieter, but now it is all hustle and bustle. Our building is a bit older than some of the new glass towers you see nearby. We handle a lot of industrial parts and filters. The warehouse is usually full of boxes stacked up to the ceiling. It can be a bit of a maze back there if you do not know where you are going. We have a team of people who have been here for years. We all know each other’s families by now. The work is repetitive but it is important for the machines to keep running. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out every day, which keeps the yard pretty busy. The power goes out sometimes, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so we can get back to the computers. It is not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time checking part numbers and making sure the shipping labels are right. Sometimes the labels get smudged and we have to redo them. We have an old calendar on the wall from three years ago that nobody has bothered to take down. It is just a comfortable, worn-in place to work where everyone knows their job. We just do our work and go home.
