Living and working in Gurgaon can be a lot sometimes, but our spot at 1727 in the Housing Board Colony of Sector-31 is actually quite alright. It’s tucked away from the massive skyscrapers and the malls that everyone thinks of when you mention this city. This is a more established part of town. The building is one of those older housing board structures, solid and simple. We use it as the base of operations for Punjloyyd. The street out front has some trees, and you’ll often see people walking their dogs or just heading to the local market. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and the usual office clutter. We don’t go in for fancy decorations or expensive carpets. That’s just not how we do things here. Usually, someone is brewing a pot of coffee or tea by ten in the morning. We spend our hours going through records, talking to contractors, and making sure the schedule stays on track. It’s a lot of mundane work, but it fills the day. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out and chat until it comes back on. That’s just life in Sector-31. We’ve grown fond of this little corner. It’s easy to get to, and it doesn’t feel like you’re trapped in a cubicle all day. We just do our bit and then head home when the sun goes down. It is a very normal existence for a local business.
