Our office is situated in the Pwo Housing Complex in Sector-43, Gurgaon. It is a bit unusual to be based inside a residential complex like this, but it works for us. Sector-43 is a busy part of Gurgaon, but our specific corner in C-4/803 is relatively peaceful. We handle the administrative and technical side of things for the power grid. Gurgaon has changed so much since we first started here. It used to be mostly open fields, and now it is full of massive buildings and traffic. We have stayed pretty much the same, though. Our office is simple and functional, without any of the corporate flash you see in the nearby high-rises. We spend a lot of our time on computers, checking data and writing reports. We have a small pantry where we make our own coffee and tea, and that is where most of the office gossip happens. The weather in Haryana can be extreme, so we are always adjusting the temperature in the office. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big mission statements or promotional talk. We just want to get through our tasks for the day and make sure the grid is functioning as it should. It is a regular job with regular people, and we are happy to be part of this neighborhood.
