Pioneering Pathology Lab In India - Dr Lal Pathlabs

This is where we work at Dr Lal Pathlabs, which is located on the 12th floor of Tower B in the Sas Tower. It’s quite high up so you have to take the elevator every morning. Being in a big building like this means there are always people coming and going in the lobby. We handle a lot of different tests here and the staff is usually busy with tubes and paperwork from the moment we open the doors. It can get a bit loud in the hallway when there are many patients waiting their turn. We try to keep the lab area clean and quiet because that is important for the kind of work we do. Sometimes the computers act up or the elevator takes forever, but we just deal with those things as they come. It’s a lot of responsibility making sure everything is labeled right and recorded properly in the system. We have a small break room in the back where we drink tea and talk about the day. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time. We know the routines inside and out. It isn't a flashy place, just a regular lab setup with lots of equipment and desks. We focus on getting the samples processed and getting the results out to the people who need them. Every day is pretty much the same routine of checking files and making sure the supplies are stocked up.
