Our place is tucked away in Laxman Vihar, Phase-2. It is House 464 on Street Number 7. If you are looking for Pathways World School, or at least this administrative unit of it, this is where we handle the background stuff. Gurgaon has changed so much since we first set up in this area. The street outside is usually full of activity. You can hear children playing nearby and cars honking constantly. We have a small team working in this office. It is officially part of Sarla Holdings, but we do not really think about the corporate side of things much. We are much more focused on the daily tasks at hand. There are stacks of files and papers everywhere you look. We try to keep things tidy, but it is a losing battle most weeks. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until the backup kicks in. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when everyone is in the office at the same time. We usually have lunch together. Someone brings something from home and we all share whatever is there. It is a nice way to break up the long day. Working in the education sector, even on the admin side, feels a bit different than other jobs. You feel like you are part of something that matters to the local families. We are not doing anything fancy. Just making sure the bills are paid and the schedules are set.
