Our workplace is at 909, Hewo Apartments in Gurgaon. It is in Haryana, right in the middle of a lot of residential buildings. We handle parts and components from here. It is a bit unusual to be in an apartment complex, but it works for us because it is quiet compared to the main industrial areas. We have several rooms filled with files and some small stock. Most of the day is spent checking part numbers and talking to suppliers. Gurgaon can be quite dusty and the power goes out sometimes, so we have to deal with that. We aren't a high-rise corporate office with a lobby. It is more like a home-style office where the atmosphere is relaxed. We wear casual clothes and don’t worry too much about formalities. We just want to make sure the right parts get to the right people. Sometimes we have to search through old catalogs to find a specific number, which takes time. We don't have any scripted speeches or fancy goals. We just do the daily grind of sourcing and sorting. It is a small team and we know each other's families. We drink a lot of chai and get through the list of orders. It is a very basic way of running things, but it has worked for us for years. We stay focused on the bits and pieces that make the bigger machines work without any extra fuss.
