The Kit Collection

The Kit Collection is up on the second floor of the Palam Vyapar Kendra at A-13. Being in Palam Vihar means we are part of a pretty active shopping center. You have to walk up the stairs and go down the corridor to find us. It’s a bit of a climb, but people manage it. The unit itself is quite square and we have filled every inch of it with boxes and racks. Because we are on the second floor, we don't get as much dust as the shops on the ground level, which is a relief. The hallway outside can get quite loud with people talking and the sound of other shopkeepers moving their goods. We keep a small fan on the desk because it gets stuffy in the corners of the room. Most of our day is spent opening boxes and checking what came in. We have a small notebook where we track everything. The walls are painted a plain white, though they could probably use a fresh coat one of these days. There is a small window that looks out over the parking area, and we sometimes watch the cars coming in while we drink our afternoon coffee. It is a simple operation in a busy building. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever is wandering through the Vyapar Kendra to stop in and see what we have.
