Even though we are part of one of the largest staffing solutions MNCs, our day-to-day life in Gurgaon is pretty much what you’d expect from any busy office. The city is full of people looking for work, and we are right in the middle of it. Our desks are usually covered in resumes and notes from phone calls we’ve had throughout the day. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of typing. Gurgaon can be a stressful place with all the construction and the heat, but inside the office, we just focus on the list of people we need to contact. We don't have a lot of time for long meetings that don't go anywhere. Mostly, it’s just quick updates between desks. The air conditioning is always running a bit too high, so most of us keep a sweater at our chairs. We eat lunch together when we can, usually talking about the traffic or what’s on TV. It’s a big company, sure, but the group of us here just feels like a bunch of regulars trying to help people find jobs. There’s no secret to it; it’s just a lot of persistent work. We go through a lot of coffee every week and there's always someone complaining about the printer. It’s just how the days go by here.
