Ashoka Medical General Store

Ashoka Medical General Store is located right on Old Railway Road, not too far from the Sudershan Mata Mandir. It’s a handy spot for people living nearby who need to pick up bits and pieces. We have the usual shelves full of bottles, boxes, and bandages. It’s often a bit dusty because of the traffic on the road, but we try to keep things tidy enough. People come in with all sorts of questions, and we do what we can to help them find what they’re looking for. Sometimes it’s busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work. Being near the mandir means we see a lot of people passing by on their way to pray. The building is older, at number 708/9, and it has that specific smell that old medicine shops always have. It’s a bit of a mix of chemicals and paper. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights. We just have what people need. My family has been around this area for a while, so we know a lot of the faces that walk through the door. It’s nice when a neighbor stops in just to say hello or ask how we are doing. We stay open late most days because that’s when people realize they forgot something important for their kids or themselves. It’s just a regular local shop doing its part in the neighborhood. We’ve been here for many years and hope to stay for many more.
