Samta Trading Corporation

Samta Trading Corporation is located right on New Railway Road. If you find Ahuja Eye Hospital, we are just directly opposite it. It makes it very easy to give people directions. The road is always busy with cars and rickshaws going towards the station. We deal with various trading goods here. Our warehouse space is right behind the main counter. It is a lot of lifting and moving boxes throughout the day. We have a small staff of three or four people. We’ve been at this spot for quite a long time now. The hospital across the street always has people coming and going, so there is a lot of foot traffic. Sometimes people wander in thinking we are part of the medical complex, and we have to point them the right way. We try to keep the front of the shop clean but the dust from the road makes it hard. We open up early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. Trading is a lot of talking to suppliers and making sure the stock levels are right. We don't use any fancy computers for everything; some of it is still written down in our big books. It works for us. It’s a practical way to run things and we know where everything is. We just keep things moving every single day. There is no point in complicating things when the old ways work fine.
