Our place, Nauge Tools Pvt. Ltd., is out in the HSIDC Industrial Estate in Sector-31. Being in an industrial area means we are surrounded by other factories and warehouses. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s where things get made. We spend our days at 21-B, which is our main site for manufacturing and storing the tools we produce. The air is often thick with the smell of metal and coolant, which is something you just get used to after a week on the job. We have a solid crew of people who have been with us for years. We aren't the type to wear ties or have long meetings in fancy boardrooms. Usually, we are out on the floor checking the machines or packing up crates for delivery. The lunchroom is where we all catch up and talk about the news or the cricket scores. It’s a very practical environment. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing people. Most of our customers come to us because they know we are here in Sector-31 and we’ve been doing this for a while. The road outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, and the power flickers now and then, but we just keep the machines running and get the orders out. It’s a tough, honest way to make a living and we take some pride in that.
